This Larrakitj (burial pole) is adorned with designs associated with the Djan’kawu sisters who created Gapu Milminydjarrk (sacred waterholes) at the artists’ mother’s country named Garriyak’ by punching the ground with their ‘dhorna’ (sacred digging sticks).
